Get Involved!

Parents

Parents of children of all ages have great power to influence their decisions to not use alcohol and other drugs. The DAET coalition offers a number of ways for parents to engage in community prevention activities.  Participate on a Working Group. Join a DAET information table at a community event. Come to a monthly coalition meeting. Attend a prevention training. Get connected! The easiest way to find out about opportunities, upcoming events, and helpful prevention information & resources is to join our mailing list – during sign up you may indicate what topics you are interested in.

Youth

As youth, you have the power to not only make healthy choices for yourself, but to advocate for other youth to do so as well. You can do this by speaking to peers and younger students about your own thoughts and ideas around substance use, volunteering with the coalition, and most importantly, by attending coalition meetings and events. Get connected! The easiest way to hear about opportunities from the coalition is to join our email list. You can also learn more about youth substance use in Ashland by visiting our Surveys page and Youth Resources page.

General Community Members

Not a parent of an Ashland student? Not a youth yourself? No problem! As a community-based organization, the DAET Coalition is interested in hearing from and involving all members of the community. To find out more about how we involve community members and groups throughout Ashland, visit our Sector Representatives page. Get connected! Join our email list to receive updates about coalition meetings and other opportunities to be involved with the coalition.
